Terms of sale and guarantee conditions
About pricing
The quality of the pedigree as well as the quality of the chinchilla determines pricing. Kits bred from American/Danish imports and/or from Award Winning show lines will likely be worth more due to their high quality. However, kits do not come with a guarantee that they will grow into adults of breeding/show quality; it should be clear that for the seller it’s not possible to predict a kit will develop into an adult of adequate size and quality.Guarantee
All chinchillas purchased from LiMa Chinchillas are guaranteed to be healthy and free from illness at the time of sale. If a genetic disorder is found within two (2) months after purchase, the chinchilla may be returned to LiMa Chinchillas and exchanged for an animal of equal value when one becomes available. This exchange will be done only if there is a signed and notarized document from a licensed veterinarian confirming a genetic disorder. A refund is offered to the buyer only if an animal perishes within a period of two (2) weeks after purchase due to a genetic disorder. Again, the seller must be provided with a signed and notarized document from a licensed veterinarian confirming a genetic disorder as being the cause of death. Also we would like to see the late animal.Within one (1) month after purchase, if the chinchilla begins to fur chew and it is determined that this is not due to a stressful environment or a cage mate, the animal can be returned to LiMa Chinchillas and exchanged for an animal of equal value when one becomes available.
Payment and pick up
To reserve a chinchilla we request a deposit equal to 50% of the sale price. A chinchilla may be prereserved for seven (7) days until the deposit is received. Deposits can be made through PayPal (all major credit cards), money order (online banking) or cash. If using PayPal buyers will be requested to pay the PayPal service fee (3,4% + €0,35). All remaining balances must be paid prior to pick-up or delivery via PayPal or at the time of pick-up or delivery with cash (money orders will not be accepted at this time).Chinchillas must be picked up within ten (10) days of weaning or within three (3) weeks of date reservation (or an alternative resolution must be agreed upon between the buyer and seller). Chinchillas are weaned of 8 weeks of age and with a weight of at least 250 grams.
If the buyer doesn’t like the animal(s) at the time of pick-up, deposits will be refunded in full. If the buyer cancels a reservation without seeing the animal(s), deposits will not be refunded.
Adjustment Period
An adjustment period of one (1) week - started directly after purchase - is given for the buyer to decide if he or she does not wish to keep the chinchilla; the animal may than be returned for a full refund of its purchase price. The animal must be in good health and in the same condition that it was in at the time of purchase.Seller’s rights
The seller reserves the right to refuse to sell a chinchilla for any reason. The seller reserves the right to modify these terms of sale and guarantee conditions at any time.We do not sell our animals to furbreeders or breeders who sell animals for their fur.
After purchase
You are welcome to contact us with any questions you might have before or after the purchase of our chinchillas. We will do our best to provide answers as quickly as possible or direct you to another resource for assistance.Chinchillas are living animals and unfortunately can become ill or in the worst case even die. If your chinchilla should become ill or dies after the above mentioned guarantee period, we request to please inform us anyway.
